Little Italy
The job
I've designed the lamppost banners for Little Italy in the Bronx for years. This round called for three new concepts, plus a base template that can carry each sponsor's logo.
- 3
- concepts, each a different way to say the same name
- 1
- base template, so every sponsor gets a clean file
- 5
- social icons on every banner, because someone has to fit them on
If it takes two looks, it's one too many.
The knot
A banner is a bad place to read. It hangs above the sidewalk, it moves, and it gets a glance at best. It still has to carry the name, the logo, the website, five social icons and a trademark line without turning into a form.
